چکیده
The effect of temperature and hydrogen addition on undesired carbonaceous deposit formation during methane coupling was studied in DBD-plasma catalytic-wall reactors with Pd/Al2O3, using electrical power to drive the reaction. Experiments thin catalyst layers allowed comparison performance empty catalytic wall without significantly influencing plasma properties. product distribution varies strongly window between 25 200 °C. Minimal deposits is found at an optimal around 75 °C reactors. selectivity c.a. 10% only 9 mg loading instead 45% blank reactor, while decreasing conversion mildly. Co-feeding H2 reactor causes a similar decrease deposits, but this case also decreased significantly. Suppression due hydrogenation mainly acetylene ethylene. In co-feed decreases does not change distribution. can be regenerated H2-plasma room temperature, which produces more added-value hydrocarbons.

Carbon nanotubes were synthesized over a series of Zn-containing Fe/alumina catalysts by chemical vapor deposition method at two reaction temperatures of 850 and 950 °C using methane as a carbon source. Catalysts were synthesized by keeping Fe concentration constant and varying Zn concentration to study the effects of Zn. The catalysts were characterized using X – ray powder diffraction and N2 ...

The effect of vanadium oxide as support and promoter on supported rhodium catalysts on the CO hydrogenation has been investigated at 0.15 and 4.0 MPa. Rh/V,O, reduced at 723 K has a good selectivity toward oxygenated products, especially C,-oxygenates, but has a low activity added as a promoter to catalysts consisting and stability. متن کاملTAP reactor investigation of methane coupling over samarium oxide catalysts
The adsorption and reaction characteristics of a Ba/Sr/Sma03 catalyst for methane coupling has been investigated using the TAP (Temporal Analysis of Products) reactor system. Puhed adsorption experiments using methane, oxygen and krypton at temperatures ranging from 17°C to 300°C show that the transient response of methane is similar to that of Kr and is either not adaorbed, or weakly adsorbed ...
متن کاملOxidative coupling of methane over doped Li/MgO catalysts
A series of zirconia doped Li/MgO catalysts with a fixed amount of zirconia and varying concentrations of lithium was used for the oxidative coupling of methane. It was found that an increase in lithium concentration resulted in a decrease in initial activity, while the selectivity was not affected. The life-time of Zr doped Li/MgO catalysts with a fixed concentration of ZrOz is a function of t...
